Meet The Passion Behind The Pack, Trainer At Country Kennels

I have been a part time/full time dog enthusiast since a young age. I have owned my dog since I was 2 years old and have trained all my own dogs since then. I have always been involved with training animals/creating behaviors. I received my JRT Jaxie in the summer of 2007 and have been hooked on full time training since the day she came home. She has pushed me in the best ways to become a better trainer and communicator. She is the reason I created Rebel Dogs in the first place. She is the naughty dog and my own little rebel is always pushing the limits. Jaxie is also my first agility dog and dog that I have been able to obtain many agility, trick dog, and barn hunting titles on. She is an agility champion and titled in many venues. Unfortunately, Jaxie did get cancer but survived it and is now retired before we could finish some of our championships.

My background is also in sports medicine; I hold my Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology and often use it to implement handling techniques that are safe for the handler and dog team I am working. I often apply my knowledge of body mechanics to both aspects of my dog and handler teams. Additionally, because of this, I have become heavily interested in dog mechanics... watch for future classes offering canine fitness! I am positive reinforcement trainer that utilizes only positive reinforcement in all my training programs. I do not permit forceable handling techniques in my classes.
